Extension Springs

Extension Springs offer resistance to a pulling force. They are usually designed close wound with a form of a loop on each end. They provide an initial tension (the force required to begin movement of the spring) and a constant rate thereafter. Here at A1 Spring & Stamping, LLC we can produce many different types of loops such as twist loops, cross over center loops, side loops, extended hooks and other variations as well. The loops can be closed or have gaps allowing them to be hooked over the mating part. The wire size, diameter and number of coils can be changed for various load requirements. Sometimes, extension springs are designed with no loops so that they may be screwed onto the mating part or used as a casing over a cable such as bicycle brakes.
