Extended Hook Extension Springs |
||
![]() |
Extension springs require a method of attaching the spring to a mating part. Extended hooks, unlike the other types of extension springs, have a longer leg which allow it to be used for devices such as carburetors, vice grips, farm machinery, canopies and many more. Extended hooks can have a small or large radius in transition from the body to the loop. Extended hooks are used when a large gap is required, or if a stronger rate than a longer spring body can accommodate is needed. The position of the loops can be anywhere from in-line to random. At A1 Spring & Stamping, LLC, we use our automated coiling equipment to custom-produce any extended hook extension spring with various loads and stress tolerances.
