Cross Over Center Extension Springs

Extension springs require a method of attaching the spring to a mating part. Crossover Center loops refer to a loop that is pulled up from the body (Similar to an open clamshell) and then bent into the center to be parallel to the body, thus providing a loop to attach to the mating part. Cross-over center loops have a sharp bend in transition from the body to the loop. Therefore, there is more stress at that location which will allow for a shorter life expectancy. Cross-over center loops can be made closed or with gaps to allow space to hook onto the mating part. The position of the loops can be anywhere from in-line to random.
